Join us on a musical journey that transports us from the far-flung reaches of the Austro-Hungarian Empire to the heart of Vienna. Who better to accompany us on this journey than Alfred Eschwé, kapellmeister and guardian of Austrian tradition par excellence? Eschwé's programme begins with Bartók's evocative Hungarian Pictures and continues with Haydn's final symphony, The Drum Roll. It then moves on to a selection of Strauss's most iconic works, including the Tritsch-Tratsch Polka and the Emperor Waltz.
